North Coast Radio Station, established in 2003 and licensed in 2008, 2014, and 2019, is dedicated to delivering relevant, empowering, accurate, and reliable information to the communities of uMhlathuze and the King Cetshwayo District. Our commitment goes beyond just broadcasting; we aim to enhance the quality of life for our listeners while promoting traditional culture both locally and globally. As the leading local community radio station in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, we focus on providing a platform that encourages equal rights and opportunities for women, supports youth development, and fosters cohesion between rural and urban areas.
Our mission is to empower our community through accurate information and educational broadcasting. We collaborate with other radio stations to amplify our reach and impact, advocating for law and order, local culture, and national patriotism. We prioritise access to locally spoken languages, promote religious tolerance, and address pressing health and environmental issues, particularly regarding the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
